On Tuesday, February 11, 2026, Michael Domeisen was bid farewell as Managing Director of the HSG Foundation. He is handing over the management on an interim basis to his former deputy, Sonja Fehr.
After three successful years as Managing Director of the HSG Foundation, Michael Domeisen is leaving the foundation to take over as Head of the Office for Economic Affairs and Tourism in the Canton of Graubünden on March 1, 2026. In recent years, the HSG Foundation has made substantial progress in its positioning and fundraising, and has successfully financed new strategic funding initiatives. The Board of Trustees, the Rectorate, and the entire team at the HSG Foundation extend their sincere thanks to Michael Domeisen for his service and wish him every success and enjoyment in his new role.
The appointment of his successor is close to being finalised. However, we do not expect the new Managing Director to take up the role before summer 2026. We are therefore very pleased that our long-standing colleague Sonja Fehr will assume the position of interim Managing Director until then. Sonja Fehr has comprehensive knowledge of the HSG Foundation’s work and is deeply connected within the organisation.
