Thanks to the generous support of the HSG community, alumni and alumnae and other funding partners, the "HSG Best Talents" scholarship programme for excellent Master's students can start in the autumn semester of 2026.
Promoting excellence in a disrupted age
Thanks to the generous support of the HSG community, its alumni and alumnae and other funding partners, the "HSG Best Talents" scholarship will be launched in the autumn semester of 2026.
The original plan was to launch the excellence programme with at least 15 students as soon as funding had been secured for 5 years. Currently, private funding enables the admission of 35 Master's students per year! This great commitment marks a significant success and sustainable added value for the HSG.
Another success of the campaign: over 100 new supporters could be won for the HSG. "The stronger our circle of supporters grows, the more we can achieve together for the HSG and thus for the economy and society. Many thanks to all those who have contributed to our success, regardless of their contribution," says Sonja Fehr, Managing Director ad interim of the HSG Foundation.
“The HSG Best Talents Programme is an important step for us in attracting the best talent to the University of St.Gallen. With our contribution, we aim to specifically support HSG in its compelling vision of becoming a leading business university in Europe.”
Now accepting applications
It is a rolling application process and interested Bachelor's graduates from EU and EFTA countries can currently apply as Best Talents.
The future scholarship holders benefit from holistic support. In addition to professional and financial support, the focus is on expanding future skills, personal development as well as excellent networking and exchange opportunities. At the same time, they are encouraged to show initiative and make a demonstrable commitment to society, the economy or the environment.
In the medium term, the HSG Best Talents Programme is to be expanded to up to 45 students. In June 2026, the programme management will decide, depending on the donations received, how many talents can definitely start in the programme in the first cohort from autumn 2026. Donate today and give another talented student a place!
“Entrepreneurial thinking, intensive exchange, and practical relevance strongly shaped my time at HSG. The HSG Best Talents Programme builds on this and supports students who carry this spirit forward.”
