HSG Foundation: New Name, New Logo
The HSG Stiftung not only receives a new logo with the explanatory byline "The Foundation for the University of St.Gallen," but will also adopt a new name: HSG Foundation – in both German and English.
At its core, the aim is to position the HSG Foundation as an independent supporting foundation, separate from the University of St.Gallen. The shift to "Foundation" reflects the ambition to accompany and support the HSG on its path to becoming a top-tier institution in the international arena. Moreover, the term "Foundation" aligns with the naming conventions of leading university support foundations worldwide.
“The University of St.Gallen and the HSG Foundation work hand in hand. The new logo highlights this strong connection. At the same time, it is important to emphasize the Foundation’s independence through its visual identity – something the new design successfully achieves.”
Making an Impact Since 2001
The HSG Foundation was established in 2001 under the name “Stiftung HSG Alumni” before operating as the “HSG Stiftung” from 2013 until today. What has remained constant is the Foundation’s core mission: to support the continued development of the University of St.Gallen (HSG) as a leading business university. Thanks to the commitment of our donors and funding partners, projects such as SQUARE, the St.Gallen Collegium, and the HSG Alumni House have been successfully realized.
